Get Free Legal Advice
Call 01772 447000 or request a call backIf you have penalty points on your licence that have expired, you can remove these points by exchanging your driving licence for a new one.
To exchange your licence, you must complete a D1 form. This can be found on the DVLA website or you can get this form from the majority of post offices. You must send back your current photo card driving licence.
If you have a paper driving licence, you should again complete the D1 form and return to the DVLA. You will have to provide original identity documents, a passport photo and the original paper driving licence.
The DVLA will charge fees for this service. For further information speak to us on 01772 447000 or reach out to us on our 7 day a week WhatsApp helpline 07869760533.
