UK Driving Legislation
What is the Highway Code in the UK?
In the UK, it’s your responsibility to abide by the laws and rules of the road, as set out in the Highway Code. For example, drivers must not exceed the speed limit or drive through red lights. Failure to do so could result in prosecution, fines and even imprisonment
The Highway Code explains all about motor offences. There are also some useful motoring tips too. Everything you need to know about driving in Britain can be found within The Highway Code , an essential guide to safe and responsible motoring. For centuries it has been recognised as ‘the bible’ of road users.
